No offense here but I think the One Direction boys are the ones who should be grateful that McFly wanted to work with them.

McFly have exclusively told MTV.co.uk that they felt ‘privileged’ working with boyband of the moment One Direction.

The band, who penned tune I Would for 1D’s latest album Take Me Home, went on to add that they also feel lucky that Harry, Niall, Liam, Zayn and Louis wanted to work with them again, after they previously handed them song I Want for their debut LP, Up All Night.

Speaking of 1D, Tom Fletcher revealed: “It’s a privilege being able to work with them, it’s amazing as their albums are absolutely huge and we are getting to write songs on two of the biggest albums of the last few years.”

Danny Jones added: ‘We’re lucky that the boys wanted to work with us, it’s amazing.”

Drummer Harry Judd then went on to reveal that they had the honour of hearing the boys’ Take Me Home album before it hit shop shelves, stating: “Niall played me and Danny some of their songs from their album before it was released, so we felt pretty privileged there.”

The Love Is Easy band recently told The Daily Star that they would be keen to work with 1D again, with Tom saying: “It’s quite a selective process, writing for other bands. I don’t want to write a song for just anyone.

“I only do it for people I really like because that’s when you do your best work, so I hope the relationship we have with One Direction can continue.”
