McFly have announced that they will be touring in April and May 2013 to celebrate their greatest hits album.

The 18-date Best of McFly Tour will start in Swindon and visit cities including Birmingham, Glasgow and Cardiff.

Memory Lane, their greatest hits album, was released on 26 November and features singles including All About You, Shine a Light and Obviously.

McFly have seven number one singles and 10m album sales to their name.

They recently announced that they were recording an hour-long programme for ITV called The McFly Show.

It is thought it will feature comedy sketches as well as performances of some of their hits.

All four have been tweeting pictures of the set, including a picture from Danny Jones, guitarist and vocalist, of a sign reading “The McFly Marshmallow Massacre”.

The band have also played in the US recently with sell-out shows in New York and Los Angeles.

Bassist Dougie Poynter won I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2011.

Drummer Harry Judd also won BBC TV dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing last year.

Tickets for the Best of McFly Tour go on sale at 9am on Saturday 8 December.

It was designed by a fan but the band loved it so much that they decided to use it as their Best Of McFly album cover

McFly have had a LOT of hits. And because they’re lovely boys, they’ve gathered them all in one place especially for you, on their new album, Memory Lane. It’s the best of McFly (so far, they’re not breaking up or anything) and we can’t wait to hear it. Although, strictly, we’ve already heard it. Because it’s their greatest hits.

The album is out on 26 November, but before that, McFly will release Love Is Easy as a single. They literally filmed the video yesterday, which is exciting.

And before that, they were in Brazil, topless, and played four nights in the US – two in LA, two in New York. And they all sold out. We promise we didn’t buy all of the tickets. Or maybe we did, you’ll never know.

They’ve also been writing songs with One Direction, have a book out tomorrow and they’re probably going to the moon or something too. They’re a busy band.
