British pop-punk boy band McFly have announced that they’ll embark on a massive 27-date theatre tour of the UK next year.

The four-piece have been working on their sixth studio album, and will most likely have the new record finished by the end of the year now that the band have revealed that they’ll tour the country extensively. Hopefully for McFly fans, you’ll be able to catch your favourites playing old classics and brand new material this coming spring.

The announcement was made earlier today and also told fans that the gigs would be held in theatre halls, which will provide interesting acoustics for the band. More info on dates and venues will be revealed in the coming months.

Tonight’s UK X-Factor will probably be remembered because they played not one.. two McFly songs, All About You and Star Girl.

I’m sure the boys will be so glad to hear that they played some of their songs. By the way as soon as we have videos from the show we’ll post them.

I know all the McFly fans would love to help on this cause, no matter if they win or not. So let’s show to the world how amazing the mcfly army is and donate as much as you can to this good cause that Georgia, Danny’s girlfriend, is supporting. You don’t have to be rich, you can donate as much as you want or can and be a part of this amazing cause. I already made a donation and i hope that all of you who are reading this right now made one too and tell other people mcfly fans or not to donate too.

When you donate don’t forget to post on the comments that you’re a mcfly fan and your full name, why? Georgia explains everything on the following tweet:

@georgiahorsley1 As I’m sure some of you may know one of my good friends Natalie died last year and her wonderful sister @CristieatCiCi is raising money for a charity close to their hearts @CRY_UK by walking up Mount Snowdon on the 10th Sept. Unfortunately I can’t take part as I will be at my sisters wedding. I’ve come up with an idea with a lot of help from the McFly boys to auction off two tickets for a McFly show next year. Plus a signed never seen before photo of the boys! The winning bid will be donated to the wonderful charity. Remember you must say who you are and and that your a McFly fan. The chance to win the McFly tickets and signed photo will end on Friday at 8:30pm the winner will be picked at random (so it doesn’t matter if you don’t have much money!) Winner will be announced on my twitter. So here’s what you are bidding for: two tickets to see one *theatre date show early next year (you can choose which you would like to go to) (venue restrictions may apply) AND a never seen before photo of the boys signed by them all.

You can make your donation Here

OMG! This year’s Scottish Young Carers Festival (27&28 August) with over 500 young carers attending will probably go down in history as the best one ever!

We had surprise guests this year – the McFly boys and TV presenter Zoe Salmon dropped in on the saturday to surprise the young carers, hand out goodie bags and perform an impromptu 20-minute gig exclusively for Scotland’s nicest young people.

The expression on everyone’s faces when McFly appeared is something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. The band was there being filmed for a programme for Channel 5 about the Festival and services for young carers.

Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government, we’ve been able to run the two-day Festival for the last four years. Surprise appearances from celebrities aside, it’s an event that young carers love and look forward to all year. 100% of young carers asked say they want to return to the Festival. Not surprising really, as the Festival gives them the chance to have fun, get a break from caring and try out new activities.

The Festival is open to all young carers’ services in Scotland. We work with a steering group made up representatives from other carers’ charities, the Scottish Government and children’s charities to organise the Festival so that it is something children and young people really enjoy.

We’ve got a serious side to the Festival too. We invite along ministers, politicians, councillors and other people who make decisions about services for young carers (and funding!). They speak to young carers and find out about their lives. And we set up a consultation tent for young carers to let us know what they think about school, doctors, social services, the festival and their young carers’ group.

But its future – and the future of young carers’ services – isn’t so sure. Everyone knows that spending on carers’ services is at risk. At the festival, young carers tell us how much they rely on their young carers’ groups and how much they love coming to the Festival. We want to make sure funding for services and the Festival continues for a long, long time.

Sunday was an incredibly jolly day for the Fleckers as we headed off for a fun filled day at Hampton Court’s Jolly Day Out Festival.

The dodgy weather was never going to stop us having a fantastic time at Jolly Day Out.

As our Twitter followers will already know, we milked a plastic cow – a sentence we never imagined ourselves writing! – approached a Llama with great caution, found a grumpy looking clown lurking in the circus tent, and we even ran round an assault course pushing a giant monkey head – not our finest hour we admit!

On top of all of that excitement we also managed to squeeze in a little backstage time with a few interesting coloured Moshi Monsters and of course, McFly!

As City Stereo rocked the main stage we took the time to have a little chat (and enjoy a spot of journal wrecking) with our favourite boys. Running a little late, but in tremendously high spirits, the boys beamed with excitement as they filled us in on the day’s announcement of a TWENTY SEVEN DATE TOUR next year!

While Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter embraced the chance to wreck our journal, we had a lovely chat with Tom Fletcher about all things wedding – his three best men, oh, and the date, which we almost squeezed out of him until he realised he couldn’t tell us even if he wanted to! At this point, Harry re-appeared, journal in hand, to tell us “It’s me, playing my drum.. That’s string… I don’t have four arms, NO! It’s NOT a ‘third’ arm!”

After chuckling at Dougie’s cautious looks in the direction of a lurking Moshi Monster and a quick chat with Danny Jones about football, naked ladies and our disapproval of his drawing, it was time for the boys to do what they do best and take to the stage.

The sun set in the sky and it was a truly glorious day with McFly at Hampton Court. The set was a much loved mix of old and new material. We had the pleasure of hearing stories of Pudd loving at Tom’s house and the return of D-DOG!

It’s a little sad to say that’s it for another year in our McFly diaries but as the boys have confirmed that they are only going away long enough to get their next album together and promised lots of tour dates in 2012, it seems Hampton Court was the perfect gig to see the year out with.

As we take time a little time off and reflect on our love of all things McFly, we can turn our attention to the upcoming City Stereo tour.
