The sun is shining and festival season is just around the corner – hurrah!

To make things even more exciting, a whole load of acts have just been added to the T in the Park 2012 line-up, and it seems there really will be something for everyone this year.

For those who love a bit of pop at the Park, Cher Lloyd, Cover Drive, Lawson and McFly will be bringing a touch of sing-a-long swagger.

Sure to delight an army of festival goers, Brit pop favourites Shed Seven will be heading to Balado in July, alongside The Subways, Childish Gambino, Django Django, We Are Augustines and The Jezabels.

The newly announced acts join an already stellar bill of festival heavyweights including Snow Patrol, The Stone Roses and Kasabian, who will headline T in the Park 2012 and wow the 85,000-a-day strong crowd, between 6th – 8th July.

Speaking at the launch of this year’s festival, organiser Geoff Ellis told STV: “We’ve got The Stone Roses, who are the biggest band on the planet right now, which is fantastic.

“Snow Patrol obviously, which is a big festival favourite. And we’ve got Kasabian, a T in the Park favourite, they’re the three headliners.

“We’ve then got Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Florence + The Machine, Skrillex, Jessie J, Example, Chase and Status, The Vaccines, Emeli Sandé who’s going to have a fantastic year, and Rizzle Kicks.”

He added: “It’s a very diverse line-up, and we’re very pleased with it. There’s quite a few more acts to be announced over the next few weeks and months.

“If you look at the ticket price and number of bands, it works out at something like 89p per band that you can see, which is the equivalent to what you pay on iTunes to download a track – and a festival is the live equivalent of an iTunes playlist.”

Tickets are on sale now from www.ticketmaster.co.uk and by calling 08444 999 990. More information on all ticket prices/packages at www.tinthepark.com. Ticket buyers should only purchase from the official outlets published on the website.
