WITH one crowned king of the jungle and another king of the dance floor it was great to see that these four cheeky chaps still reigned supreme in the pop world.

Hundreds of fans packed the Guildhall in Southampton to see McFly back where they belong, up on stage and loving every minute of playing a totally live set.

Many may have feared that their reality television success in recent months, with bassist Dougie Poynter winning I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here and drummer Harry Judd crowned champion of Strictly Come Dancing, would have seen the boys steer away from the music stage.

But fear not – after last night’s performance it was clear that the foursome were back to their very best and still thrived on the energy from the crowd.

They kicked off the night with Nowhere to Run.

The wave of noise from the screaming crowds almost knocked me off my feet and it continued throughout the 90- minute live set of the Keep Calm and Play Louder tour.

And loud it was – I’ve been to many gigs in my time and this was the first I was handed a pair of ear plugs!

From Its All About You to 5 Colours in Her Hair the guys simply rocked the stage and mixed their classics with some of their eagerly awaited new material, including a rather impressive Red.
