Dougie wrote a new entry on the Saint Kidd blog, he talks about the story behind the brand. I also added to the gallery a new pic from the last photoshoot he did for the brand.

Every tiny detail in St Kidd usually has a huge and very unnecessary back story. But it is those huge back stories that inspire us and keep our perverted little heads in the clouds. The main idea started many moons ago when I became obsessed with pirates….as you do. My friend who was tattooing me at the time told me that many of the stories I had been reading were more or less true, this furthered my boner for pirates.

One very tragic story in particular got my attention; it was about a pirate named William Kidd. Will was actually a privateer, hired by the lords and posh dudes of England to steel gold from pirates and the Spanish. After a very long time at sea, Kidd had absolutely nothing to show for himself and there was talk of mutiny on board. Oh bugger. But perseverance prevailed and after something ridiculous like two years Kidd and his crew crossed paths with their first victim The Quedagh Merchant. High fives and “fuck yeah dudes” erupted and echoed on board.

Kidd’s luck was about to take a huge turn in the right direction….or was it? Dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!!!!

Tune in next week kids.
