The last sentence.. my thoughts exactly.. can I adopt him please?

When we’re down, we love looking at videos and pictures of really cute animals. So it probably follows that since Dougie Poynter has spoken out about suffering with depression, Dougie Poynter has become the ambassador of an animal charity.

But he’s not going to be pelting Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga with flour or blood anytime soon, as he’s not going to be an ambassador of PETA, but a slightly less controversial animal rights group, The World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF).

The McFly bassist and singer has teamed up with the WWF to help draw attention to their new campaign to save African mountain gorillas.
Truly dedicated to the cause, Dougie recently flew to Africa to record a film for the organisation. In the video – which you can see above – he says: “It’s been incredible…it’s been one of those things that I will never ever forget… The biggest thing that I’ve learnt is that although these creatures are massive and so powerful, they are just incredible fragile.”

He encourages fans: “Adopting a gorilla with WWF is the best way to protect them and to secure their future.”

Awwwww, Dougie! Can we adopt you, too!?
