Cambridge News has posted a little article about our beloved guys

One won I’m A Celebrity. . .Get Me Out Of Here, one won Strictly Come Dancing, and another had a crack at Popstar to Operastar; but now the four boys are back together in their original form as they tour the country with their Above the Noise show.
Above the Noise is McFly’s fifth studio album and spawned their biggest hit to date, Shine A Light, which has sold over 300,000 copies in the UK.
Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd released their first single in 2004, the jaunty 5 Colours In Her Hair, which launched the band as the poppy-surfy alternative to Busted’s skater-pop-rock.
(Tom had actually auditioned for a place in Busted, losing out to Charlie Simpson, but continued to write for them until being offered a place in a new band, which became McFly.)
McFly toured with Busted before their split, going on to reel off a number of similarly catchy hits from their first album, Room on the 3rd Floor, including Obviously and That Girl, as well as four more successful albums.
Still only in their 20s, McFly became the youngest band to get to number 1 with their debut album – a title formerly held by The Beatles.
McFly, Cambridge Corn Exchange, April 10 at 7.30pm. Sold out.
