McFly frontman Tom Fletcher has confirmed that the band will have their own hour-long show on ITV in a matter of weeks.

The 27-year-old started by teasing an announcement to his Twitter followers, saying: “So we’ve got some pretty darn exciting mcfly news for you all…”

He then posted: “We will have our own hour long tv show in a few weeks on itv1 called The Mcfly Show!!!!”

Fletcher joked: “The Mcfly Show may or may not feature elephants in hot pants, Dougie juggling cats whilst synchronised swimming, & some music. #TheMcflyShow.”

The Daily Star reported last week that the programme will see Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, Danny Jones and Harry Judd sing some of their greatest hits for a studio audience.

The group will also perform comedy sketches about Judd’s time on Strictly Come Dancing and Poynter’s jungle adventure on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

McFly revealed last week that they are on the verge of signing a US record deal.
