PREPARE to cover your ears. Legions of screaming teenagers and their mothers will scream the house down at two gigs in Gloucester next week.

The man with the poster-boy looks, Ronan Keating, will perform at Gloucester Rugby’s Kingsholm Stadium next Friday.

But before the Irish singer-songwriter bursts into song, boy band McFly will ramp up the volume on Thursday.

The pop quartet are the youngest band ever to have an album debut at number one in the charts – taking the accolade away from none other than The Beatles.

They are made up of drummer Harry Judd, bass guitarist Dougie Poynter and singers Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher.

Formed in 2003 they have since sold a staggering 10 million records worldwide and in 2005 they won the Brit Award for Best British Pop Act.

Among their more memorable songs are Party Girl, Falling in Love and the catchy All About You.

In recent years members of the band have ventured into the world of reality TV with Dougie crowned ‘king of the jungle’ in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Harry Judd claiming the Strictly Come Dancing title in the show’s ninth series.

Tickets for McFly’s gig at 5.30pm on Thursday cost £25, while tickets for Ronan’s gig at the same time on Friday, cost £30. Call 08718 718781.
