McFly kicked off their 10th Anniversary celebrations at the Royal Albert Hall on 19 September 2013 at the first of four landmark concerts for the band.

Dedicated fans of the band have flocked from as far as Sweden and California to be a part of the celebrations, and McFly didn’t disappoint as they delivered a high-adrenaline set packed with hits and rarities from their 10 years on the scene.

Highlights from the night included Dougie Poynter‘s solo on the 9,999 pipes of the Hall’s Grand OrganTom Fletcher‘s song penned especially for these Hall shows entitled McFly: The Musical– a light-hearted look back at the ups and downs of being in one of the most successful bands in the country, and a intro video filmed backstage that had to be seen to be believed!

One of the night’s most memorable moments for the 5,000 fans in attendance was the brief formation of McBusted, following the on-stage arrival of Busted’s Matt Willis and James BourneMcBustedmania (you heard it here first) promptly erupted within the 142-year-oldvenue for 7 minutes of pop nostalgia as the supergroup performed Busted hits Year 3000 and Air Hostess.

Four nights at the Royal Albert Hall isn’t a bad way for a band to celebrate their 10th anniversary, and McFly certainly know how to throw the ultimate party for their fans to share in their success.
