McBusted have admitted that they find the overwhelmingly positive reaction to their upcoming tour “bizarre”.

The supergroup – which consists of McFly and Busted – have had to add extra dates to their 2014 headline tour of the UK, following increased demand.

“I genuinely think when the McBusted tour went on sale it took us all by surprise,” McFly’s Tom Fletcher told Digital Spy.

“The reaction from the fans, the press and the public in general was definitely a highlight for us.”

Dougie Poynter added: “Everyone has completely supported us. I think I saw the smallest negative comment, but that was it.”

Fletcher added that he was shocked by the broad range of music press that covered the announcement in a positive light.

“It’s been amazing. NME have been writing about it in a completely genuine, neutral kind of way,” he said.

“It’s just taken us all completely by surprise. It’s amazing that it’s going to be the biggest tour we’ve ever done, 10 years into our career. We’re all very, very thankful for it. It just keeps growing and growing. It’s just bizarre.”

Meanwhile. McFly will release their new single ‘Love Is On The Radio’ in the UK on November 24.
