Here’s a review for the McFly concert in Lincoln last week. Click the read more button to read it as it can contain some spoilers.

Boy band McFly performed one of their 26 date tour shows in Lincoln last night and I was lucky enough to go!

The tour was named ‘Up and Close and Personal’ and the band have travelled all the way around the country, starting in mid-March, performing to lucky ticket holders.

Support acts ‘Count The Days’ and ‘Ivyrise’ were there to warm up the crowd and promote their new albums and singles. They even came out to talk to fans before the concert started.

McFly’s set list included some of their biggest hits such as ‘Stargirl’, ‘Obviously’ and ‘Shine A Light’ and they also treated the audience to 3 new songs (‘Red’, ‘Do What You Want’ and ‘Touch The Rain’) off their 6th album which they are recording this summer.

Expectations were high as the band has been together 9 years and with Strictly Come Dancing winner Harry Judd on drums and King of The Jungle Dougie Poynter on bass guitar, McFly certainly didn’t disappoint!

As it neared the end of the concert, Tom Fletcher caused chaos as he threw his 6 guitar picks he used, his sweaty towel (!) and his water bottle into the crowd. As you can imagine, everyone went crazy but I managed to get one of the picks!

It was a great night out and I would recommend anyone to go watch them.
