As you can see at the pics I posted a few minutes ago Dougie attended the NTA’s today with his girlfriend Lara and he also took the stage to celebrate that I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here won the award for Best Reality Show. Here’s some articles that talk about the winning.

[…]Speaking after winning the award for Best Reality Show for I’m A Celebrity (for the 11th year in a row!), Dec said that the new Britain’s Got Talent line up is working very well.

He said: “The new judges hit the ground running from day one. David is brilliant, he loves winding Simon up. Alesha is feisty and has a clear idea about what she wants and that’s great.”

Dec added that Simon has made this series much harder on everyone in his quest to ‘send the winner into space’.

He said: “Simon is back and has upped the stakes. He’s going all out to find a star – he’s not giving an inch and being really hard on the performers. He kept us there until midnight this week, making performers do their very best – singing songs three times sometimes. But it’s not just them, he’s being tough on us too!”

It was all going fairly well (if not a bit predictable) until Ant and Dec were asked about this year’s I’m A Celebrity series.

When asked whether this year’s 11th series was the best yet, Dec put his foot in it and insulted the I’m A Celebrity cast.

He said: “Every year, everyone says the celebrities are crap and too old and no one knows them and they’re not Victoria Beckham.”

At which point, he glanced nervously at an irritated looking Mark Wright, Chrissy Rock and Dougie Poynter and said: “Er, present company excluded. No, but what I meant was they then start watching the show and everyone falls in love with the characters and it turns into an award winning show.”

At which point Mark Wright started chatting about how much I’m A Celebrity changed his life and we switched off a bit.

[…]Ant and Dec took to the stage for a second time to pick up the award in the Reality Programme category for I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

They were joined on stage by contestants from the most recent series including Fatima Whitbread, Mark Wright and winner Dougie Poynter.

The programme beat Come Dine With me, The Apprentice and Wright’s former show The Only Way is Essex.

Ant said he was “more nervous this year than ever before” despite having won the award 11 times.

He said: “One day the run will come to the end but we’re just thrilled it’s not today”.

The Geordie joked they had “probably picked up a few more trophies” than their football team, Newcastle United.

Dec also praised the cast of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here which won the best reality show award.

He said: “It’s all down to these guys”.
