Matt also spoke of both bands’ excitement at coming off their 35-gig UK tour to play alongside the American group Backstreet Boys, who have sold a staggering 130million records around the world.

The Backstreet Boys said: “We’re going to feel right at home on the beach like our home state in Florida. Let’s make it an unforgettable beach party.”

Was it a date night?

McBusted band member Dougie Poynter and pop star Ellie Goulding looked pretty cosy as they were spotted leaving her London home last night. The pair have been faced with plenty of relationship rumours and after their late night rendezvous those reports are unlikely to go away.

Ellie Goulding and her rumoured boyfriend Dougie Poynter went for low key as they left her London home following reports that they have begun dating. Goulding opted for a casual ensemble, including a navy jumper and jacket to protect her from the February chill. Poynter went for a more colourful outfit, with a red plaid shirt and army print jacket making him stand out in the dreary weather.

They might look like a pair made in pop star heaven but Dougie has insisted that their relationship is purely platonic. Appearing on the Jonathan Ross Show, the 26-year-old told the T.V. Presenter: “we’re friends.”

However, after the young starlets were spotted holding hands at the Cosmopolitan’s Ultimate Women of the Year awards in December, people began speculating that love was in the air between the Burn songstress and the cheeky McFly guitarist.

This isn’t the first time Ellie has supposedly dipped her toe into the world of showbiz dating. The 27-year-old was previously been linked to One Direction cutie, Niall Horan in August 2013.

However, the blonde beauty had been reluctant to confirm any kind of relationship with the 1D singer as she refused to talk about her private life.

Talking to the Daily Mirror at the time, Ellie said: “Oh God, I knew this was coming. I just can’t talk about Niall.”

“I won’t ever talk about my love life any more as it’s always then gone wrong when I have in the past.”

“I will say this, I’ve definitely had some ‘interesting’ tweets since the story came out. Thankfully I’m able to take it all with a pinch of salt because I’ve been told to be that way.”

Speaking of Twitter, a retweet from Ellie last night proves that she definitely has love on the mind as she shared the message: “I want you to know that you are loved, and that you are not alone”. Watch this space…

He’s in one of the coolest bands around, and is known for his style – but even McFly’s Dougie Poynter is prone to having an “off” day when it comes to fashion.

The 26-year-old was caught on camera wearing ripped dungarees over a tie-dye hoodie. Eek!

But fear not, Dougie was actually posing for the cameras and wearing the outfit for a joke photograph on his Instagram page.

Alongside the photo, he wrote: “Apparently this is how people dressed in the 90s?”

Dougie isn’t afraid to try out new looks and is arguably the most fashion-conscious of his McFly bandmates. Perhaps it’s something to do with his rumoured girlfriend Ellie Goulding?

Although, not all his “looks” are well received. Only two days ago, he tweeted: “Got mistaken for a little girl again :-(“

The McBusted boys have found a bit of time between perfecting their circus-worthy red carpet poses and rehearsing for their huge upcoming UK tour, to don their finest clobber and get involved with Sport Relief.

By finest clobber, we sadly don’t mean dapper suits and or teeny weeny shorts. Instead we mean flared jeans, Banana Man tshirts, pantaloons and tie dye hoodies for a bit of retro fancy dress, but they still look pretty lovely so it’s alright.

The lads star in the latest Sport Relief promo video, which seems them each taking on a different decade in an epic bike race, including Matt repping the 1800s in some fetching knee socks, Harry in a rather swanky boater hat, and Dougie looking like the 90s threw up on him in a fit way.

It’s all in the name of getting us lazy folk to stop sitting on our bums and get involved with the charity by signing up to swim, cycle, run, pogo, hopscotch or WHATEVER your sporty talent might be, to raise a few pennies for the great cause.

While rocking some sexy flared jeans and a bright yellow flower shirt, Tom explained: “We’ve been involved with Sport Relief for the past few years, running a Mile in 2006 and visiting projects in Uganda a year later, to see how money raised by ordinary people for Comic Relief is spent changing people’s lives.”

How about we get out and get our sweat on, in exchange for Dougie dressing like this for the rest of time? Deal? So wrong but so right.

Check out the awesome vid right here, and marvel at Matt’s ability to nail the art of the penny farthing. Skills to pay the bills.

Have the McBusted boys inspired you to get involved with Sports Relief? Who do you think was looking hottest in their fancy dress? Chuck us a comment in the box below.

You can get involved with Sport Relief HERE

McBusted have called on the public to take part in this year’s Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Cycle.

The six boys, who will kick off their supergroup tour in April, donned jodhpurs, flares and shellsuit jackets to hold their own cycle race to promote the campaign.

James Bourne and Matt Willis from Busted, and Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd and Danny Jones from McFly, star in a video clip which shows the six singers compete in a short race.

“Hi, we’re McBusted and we want you to sign up to the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief games,” the group shout in unison at the start of the clip, followed by whoops, cheers and the ringing of bells.

Riding different bicycles ranging from the 1800s to the 1990s, each singer is dressed according to their era.

Tom, who represented the seventies in snug flares and a garish mustard yellow shirt, looked in high spirits as he was presented with a Chopper.

“I’m the sexy era,” said Tom as he wiggled his hips and busted out his best disco moves.

Representing the eighties, fellow bandmate James rocked a shellsuit jacket and comic printed t-shirt. “Who wouldn’t want to cycle around in fancy dress?” James is filmed asking the camera.

Despite being given the oldest bicycle in the group, the penny farthing, Matt was crowned the winner, screaming “Yes” as he was helped off the 1800s bicycle.

The group, who entertained with their stretches, jumps and matching pink t-shirts and headbands, encouraged people to get involved in the charity challenge by cycling, running or swimming.

“We’ve been involved with Sport Relief for the past few years, running a Mile in 2006 and visiting projects in Uganda a year later, to see how money raised by ordinary people for Comic Relief is spent changing people’s lives,” said Tom.

“It was an emotional but inspiring trip and we want everyone to show us their awesome pedal power by signing up to help raise cash this year.”

Money raised from Sport Relief will be spent helping some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and around the world. Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games will take place from 21 to 23 March.

Newly formed super-group, McBusted, donned jodhpurs, flares and shellsuit jackets as they busted some moves on bicycles from the 1800s to the 1990s for a race across the ages to encourage the public to sign-up to this year’sSainsbury’s Sport Relief Cycle.

Ahead of their highly-anticipated tour, Busted’s James Bourne and Matt Willis joined the McFly boys, Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd for a one-off cycle race to get the nation geared up for the Cycle events taking place at the upcoming  Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games on 21st – 23rd March 2014.

The public can get on their bikes and cycle 50 miles, 25 miles or get the whole family involved in a 3 mile cycle at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Cycle in Glasgow, Manchester and London’s Lee Valley VeloPark.

Tom from McBusted, who represented the 1970’s on a Chopper, said: “We’ve been involved with Sport Relief for the past few years, running a Mile in 2006 and visiting projects in Uganda a year later, to see how money raised is spent changing people’s lives. It was an emotional but inspiring trip and we want everyone to show us their awesome pedal power by signing up to help raise cash this year.”

Matt Willis was not only crowned the winner of the race but did so by mastering the art of riding a penny farthing from the 1800s.

As well as cycling events for everyone, the new Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games offer the public the chance to run, jog or walk 1, 3 or 6 miles for the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile, or they can make a splash with the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Swimathon, and choose from a range of individual and team distances, including 1.5km, 2.5km and 5km or choose their own distance with SimplySwim.
