McFly will be performing an outdoor concert live at Gloucester Rugby’s Kingsholm Stadium this June.

Four-piece pop pin-ups McFly will be performing a concert of chart-topping hits at Kingsholm Stadium on Thursday 13 June 2013.

Tickets costing £25 for general admission or £55 for VIP tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday 28 March 2013 from and, and are also available from Gloucester Rugby box office by calling 0871 871 8781 and selecting option 2.

Since forming in 2004, band members Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd have taken the UK charts by storm, selling a massive 10 million albums and racking-up numerous number ones – not to mention a recent tear-jerking wedding speech viral.

Embarking an extensive Memory Lane: The Best of Tour and releasing a brand new album later in 2013, the Gloucester crowd can expect to be singing-along with some of the lads’ punchiest pop hits this summer.

Highlights are expected to include ‘Five Colours in Her Hair’, ‘All About You’, ‘I’ll be OK’, ‘Please, Please’, and obviously ‘Obviously’, at this unashamed celebration of British pop at its best.

Plus, don’t miss the Ronan Keating concert at Kingsholm on Friday 14 June 2013.

Ronan Keating and McFly will be performing two summer concerts at Gloucester Rugby’s Kingsholm Stadium this June.

Gloucester Rugby has announced it will be hosting two music concerts this summer, kicking off with McFly on Thursday 13 June 2013, followed by Ronan Keating on Friday 14 June 2013.

This will be the third consecutive year Kingsholm Stadium has hosted music concerts, including last year’s sell-out success with Welsh crooner Tom Jones, and is a real boon for the Live at Kingsholm brand.

McFly celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, the band has sold more than ten million records worldwide and will be releasing a new album this summer – promising more pop gems to please audiences from near and far.

Singer-songwriter Ronan Keating, meanwhile, who first came to prominence as a member of Boyzone, has also sold an impressive 10 million copies of his 11 solo albums – including the recently launched Fires, hits from which the Kingsholm Stadium crowd can hope to enjoy this summer.

Gloucester Rugby’s CEO, Stephen Vaughan, spoke of his delight at confirming the two huge music industry names: ‘With McFly and Ronan Keating, we have secured two acts who will appeal to a broad cross section of music fans and hope to see Kingsholm rocking as it has in the past.’

Tickets for both concerts go on sale at 9am on Thursday 28 March 2013, online at and, or by calling the Gloucester Rugby box office on 0871 871 8781 option 2.

“You go from everyone loving you and life is great, to no one caring,” says McFly drummer Harry Judd.

He’s not talking about his band, who have stayed together throughout their ten tumultuous years, but the pop sensations of the nineties and noughties that are now starring in ITV2’s ‘The Big Reunion’.

The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star reveals he’s been watching the show with fascination and empathy with a lot of the groups.

“We experienced everything that they experienced but they’re there reminiscing,” he says.

“It’s like wow, 95 percent of pop bands end up imploding after four or five years, and you can understand why, but thankfully it’s different for us.”

Quizing me, he asks: “Name a band it hasn’t happened to? The only band that was remaining from our era was Girls Aloud but they kind of split up three years ago, they just came back recently for a reunion tour.”

I ask Judd why he thinks McFly have stood the test of time, while boy bands like 5ive, 911 and Blue split after burn outs and fall outs?

We’ve grown pretty used to the McFly lads making us feel all warm inside by prancing around in panda costumes to support Earth Hour recently, but now that that’s all done and dusted for the year, they’ve donned their best human clobber once again and are back to their phwoarrrrsome selves.

Tom, Danny, Dougie and Harry were all spotted leaving the super swanky Ivy club in London after attending a charity meal, and they looked so hot that we’d probably not have been able to stop ourselves from licking their stubbley faces if we’d bumped into them.

The only issue we have here, is Tom’s pink trainers. Tom, you are not Justin Bieber. It makes us uncomfortable how much they match your tshirt too. JUST STOP IT. It’s a good job you can make us go weak at the kneees with your magical music talents, or we’d be criticising the fluffy scarf too.

Danny and Dougie howver, were spot on with their NORMAL footwear choices. Danny opted for a dark and mysterious black on black ensemble and looked VERY happy about it, whilst Dougie went for the scarf-poking-out-of-crotch look paired with his standard headband. Bet it still smells like jungle. FIT.

Harry looked cool and casual as he made a separate swift getaway from the celeb hangout a little early than his fellow Flyers. He probably needed to get a bit of an early night seeing as he’s pretty much running 20 miles a day at the moment in training for the London marathon and a 13 mile assault course to raise awareness for his wife Izzy’s charidee, Eyes Alight.

He is a MACHINE, it makes us tired just thinking about walking to the fringe to get another chocolate yoghurt. Sigh.

What better way to make your day the best EVER, than by watching McFly snog eachother?

Ahhh McFly, you do make our mornings better. Ta, lads.

Who do you think is looking hottest at the moment? And WHO CAN EXPLAIN TOM’S SHOES?
